Yikes!
This fire, the Valley Fire in Lake County, the county just north of Napa, is crazy scary. We know this area well, having made many outings this way in our years at St Helena. We have driven by this little retail plaza.

 Last I saw, just moments ago from starting to write this post is that it has mushroomed to 50,000 acres. zero contained.  This picture is about a 1 hour drive from our St H house. Gratefully at this point, the winds are directing the fire away from St Helena.
We are now in Moab, Utah and the sky is full of smoke from this and other western fires. Not smoke like this photo, but haze that kills the distant views.
But so much with views. This photo is frightening!!!. We feel for our fellow neighbors that are being affected.
