The Texas Tenors

Today, we leave the Branson, Missouri area and continue southward, heading to Fort Smith, AR for a couple of days. Before we left, just had to take in a Branson show. While Branson is full of hokey Americana like The Hollywood Wax Museum, a miniature golf course replete with life size dinosaurs and some really cheesy sounding shows, it does have some nice features and some fine entertainment. On the way to town we stopped at a place called Top of the Rock for lunch. Top is an entertainment complex that had a golf practice range that was designed by Arnold Palmer. It is not your average flat meadow to hit balls into. We happened to catch the Tenors a few days ago on a PBS special, they are prior winners on America's Got Talent and have terrific voices that sound awesome together. We saw they were performing in Branson and said, "let's go". Aside from being the youngest folks in the audience, (we went to their 2PM performance), we thoroughly enjoyed the show. They sounded fantastic, were backed by three outstanding musicians that sounded like 20 and their song selection, a mix of pop, country and classical, was spot on. It was a good time. If you see the PBS show scheduled, give it a look.
